Full Stack Developer Job Description

About the role

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer who can own features end to end, from the interface a user clicks to the API and database behind it. You will move fluidly between frontend and backend work, ship quickly, and make pragmatic technical decisions across the stack. This role suits a versatile engineer who enjoys seeing a feature all the way through and thrives in a fast-moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build complete features across frontend, backend, and database
• Design and integrate APIs that connect UI to data
• Ship, test, and maintain full-stack code end to end

Responsibilities

• Build user-facing interfaces and the APIs and services that power them
• Design database schemas and write the queries that back new features
• Implement client-side state and connect it to backend endpoints
• Handle authentication, authorization, and session management across the stack
• Write tests spanning UI components, API logic, and integration paths
• Debug issues wherever they surface, from the browser to the database
• Deploy features and monitor them across environments after release
• Make pragmatic build-versus-buy and architecture calls under time pressure
• Collaborate with design and product to scope and sequence full features
• Refactor and improve both frontend and backend code as the product grows

Requirements

• 3 or more years building web applications across frontend and backend
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript plus at least one backend language
• Hands-on experience with a frontend framework and a backend framework
• Solid understanding of databases, APIs, and web fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
