Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate, partnership, or individual tax returns
- Calculate quarterly estimated payments and manage filing deadlines
- Research changing tax legislation and assess its impact on the business
- Reconcile tax accounts and prepare provisions for financial statements
- Identify deductions, credits, and planning opportunities to lower tax liability
- Respond to notices, inquiries, and audits from tax authorities
- Maintain organized documentation to support every filed position
- Advise leadership on the tax implications of transactions and decisions
- Manage sales, use, payroll, and property tax filings as required
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors during busy periods
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or taxation
- 3 or more years of tax preparation and compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- CPA or Enrolled Agent credential, or active progress toward one
- Experience with tax software and a track record of accurate, on-time filings
